Privacy Policy

Welcome to Pongz ("we", "our", or "us"). Pixelstack Studios Pte Ltd ("Pixelstack"), a company incorporated in Singapore, operates the Pongz mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information to operate and improve Pongz. These include:

• Account information: name, username, email address, and password when you register. We also collect profile information provided via third-party login providers (e.g. Google, Facebook) such as profile name, email, and profile picture when you choose those sign-in options.
• Gameplay information: match history, game progress, rankings, achievements, and in‑game settings.
• Device and technical information: device model, operating system and version, app version, IP address, language settings, crash logs, diagnostic data, and cookies.
• Payment information: records of purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store credit card details — all payments are processed by the relevant app store.
• Location information: not collected currently. In future releases we may request your permission to access approximate or precise location data to enable location-based features; this will always be optional and require explicit consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information for purposes that include:

• providing and personalizing the Pongz experience;
• authenticating accounts and managing user profiles;
• processing purchases and in‑app transactions;
• analyzing app performance and usage via tools such as Firebase and Google Analytics;
• detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• communicating updates, service messages, and (with consent) marketing or promotional messages;
• supporting future features such as ads, leaderboards, and user-generated content moderation.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We will not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data with third parties only as necessary to provide the App, for legal reasons, or as part of business transactions:

• Service providers: hosting, analytics (e.g., Firebase, Google Analytics), push notifications, and customer support services;
• Payment processors: Apple App Store and Google Play for handling transactions;
• Advertising partners: if and when in‑app advertising is enabled in the future (only after appropriate disclosures and, where required, consent);
• Legal obligations: to comply with applicable law or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities.

4. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and to meet legal or accounting obligations. When data is no longer required it will be deleted or anonymized.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your local laws, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can:

• update account details in-app (where provided);
• request data deletion or copies by contacting hello@pongz.io;
• opt out of marketing communications via in-app settings or by using links provided in emails;
• withdraw consent for optional features (e.g., location) at any time through device settings or in-app controls.

6. Children and Minors

Mahjong is a game for players of all ages. We welcome players including minors. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child’s account contains personal data you would like to review or remove, please contact us at hello@pongz.io. We will work with you to address concerns promptly.

7. Security

We employ reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed 100% secure; please use unique passwords and take care when using shared devices.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed, stored, or transferred to countries other than your own if necessary to provide the service. We will take commercially reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place when data is transferred across borders.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Substantive changes will be communicated via in‑app notice and the updated policy will include a revised Effective Date.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pongz. By accessing or using Pongz, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, downloading, or otherwise using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any policies referenced herein (including the Privacy Policy).

2. Eligibility

Pongz is intended for players of all ages. If you are using Pongz on behalf of someone else (including a minor), you represent that you have the authority to do so and accept these Terms on their behalf. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children’s access and use of the App.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

When using Pongz, you agree not to:

• use the App for illegal purposes or in violation of laws;
• attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers;
• cheat, use automation (bots), or exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage;
• create offensive or infringing usernames, avatars, or other content in areas where user-generated content is permitted.

5. Virtual Goods & Payments

Pongz may offer virtual currency and items (e.g., Diamonds). All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Virtual goods are licensed, not sold, and have no monetary value outside the App. Refunds are handled according to the app store’s policies.

6. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or for any other reason at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users prior to account termination where practicable.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in Pongz and its content are owned by Pixelstack Studios Pte Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pixelstack Studios Pte Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post changes in the App and update the Effective Date. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
